Huff Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Summertime highs at Huff Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Huff Pond are in the 0's. If you need a place to stay The Middlebury Inn is a perfect choice, and Neshobe Golf Club is a perfect golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Memorial Trial. The annual precipitation here at Huff Pond is about average; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury, and drift down the rapids of Poultney River in a kayak.

Country Village Campgrounds

Country Village Campground has 41 spacious sites that can accommodate small tents all the way up to the largest of campers. The bath house is clean and spacious with hot showers, and it is located right in the middle of the campground for easy access to all sites. A trip to Country Village Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Branbury State Park; nearby you hit upon the Silver Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Camping in Vermont is such a fun thing to do. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back persistently.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Fern Lake which is small and pristine. At this campground you will always have a delightful time. Getting to Neshobe River from Country Village Campground is simple, and Middlebury River has a great whitewater pad... |

 | 10 miles away White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak.... |

 | 17 miles away South of Rutland rt 7 south to rt 140 east. Entrance is not easily seen. A up hill right off 140 then a quick left up hill, and a quick right again. Just a little sign. Before the right turn on 140 you will see white rocks used as drainage. the turn is shortly there after. Rocky road. Hope this helps.... |
