     After a long day outdoors Courtyard Middlebury is a delightful location to spend a night or two, and Poultney River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to distinguish at Burr Pond Dam right next door to Huff Pond, and lakes are such serene sites, why not stop by Warrior Lakes. Here at Huff Pond there are plenty of people from Rutland. You get a brilliant vista of Signal Hill from Huff Pond; Huff Pond is right  
   by the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial.
This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Otter Creek; hiking along the Half Moon Pond Trail is nice fun. The amount of precipitation that falls at Huff Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month is February. Summertime highs at Huff Pond typically tend to be in the 80's, and all through the
 
               night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Huff Pond temperatures descend to the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Neshobe Golf Club; Half Moon State Park Campground is a fine campground nearby. Man, is there a lot of exciting stuff to do next to Huff Pond. Big D Campground is a great local campground, and Burr Pond is a delightful lake close by. If you need a spot to stay The Middlebury Inn is a glorious choice, and going for a hike along the Glen Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
