This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury is a great spot to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Glen Lake Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Get dripping wet paddling on Otter Creek; if you came for an overnight stay Half Moon State Park Campground is a delightful place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lake       Hortonia you find the Half Moon Pond Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and you simply have to visit Barber Ledge if you're here at Lake Hortonia. If you need a spot to stay The Middlebury Inn is a delightful choice, and you're sure to run into some cheerful people from Rutland here. From a precipitation point of view Lake Hortonia is a quite common site; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most while February is                  the month with the least amount of precipitation. There is a great hiking trail near Lake Hortonia called the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial, and a beautiful lake like Choate Pond is a wonderful spot to stop at. Summer at Lake Hortonia arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lake Hortonia are in the 0's. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Lake Hortonia. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Poultney River, and near Lake Hortonia you discover a golf course called Prospect Bay Country Club.
