Many people like to go to High Pond. All the outdoors fun stuff right next door to High Pond will keep you coming back repeatedly. Hiking is a popular thing to do around High Pond; Bomoseen Hiking Loop is a perfect local trail, and Page Point is around here and always magnificent to check out. Interesting geology is available here; Barber Ledge is near High Pond, and don't leave High Pond without first going for a hike along the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Don't miss out on a delightful swamp; Beaver Meadow is right here at High Pond, and lots of people from Rutland come here. Through the summer months highs here at High Pond reach the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 20's while High Pond nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking along the Half Moon Pond Trail, and if you need a place to stay Lake Bomoseen Inn is a nice choice. Austin
Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and getting to Giddings Brook from High Pond is uncomplicated. Dry warm beds await you at Edgewater Motel. There's so much to do here at High Pond that you need to camp here for a while,
Half Moon State Park Campground is a tremendous place for that. Playing golf is lots of fun at Prospect Bay Country Club, and if you came to camp Big D Campground is a good site to do that. Having a splendid time at High Pond
is easy. A wonderful spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to High Pond is Poultney River, also Austin Pond Dam is worth visiting since you're here.
