Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial, and Barber Ledge is an interesting thing to see if you're here. An average amount of precipitation falls at High Pond; August is when you get the most rain here; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Half Moon Pond Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and why not go to Austin Pond Dam while you're

| | here. This place, High Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. High Pond is a place with many visitors from Rutland, and if you're here you have to pop by Page Point. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Breese Pond; dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Middlebury. While you're here at High Pond you can take a hike along the Bomoseen Hiking Loop; needless to say, this is a glorious neighborhood | |

for people who like lakes, Halfmoon Lake is a lake in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little spree to Giddings Brook while you're here at High Pond, and if you're here and you like golf, you can go to Prospect Bay
Country Club. Glide down the rapids of Poultney River in a kayak; Big D Campground is a delightful campground nearby. A pleasant swamp right next door to High Pond is Beaver Meadow, and Half Moon State Park Campground is a pleasant
local campground. Summertime highs at High Pond typically tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at High Pond dipping down into the 0's during

Country Village Campgrounds

If only every location had this much outdoor entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. A tremendous place like Half Moon Pond State Park is near Country Village Campground and is too wonderful to leave out, and going for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warm days of summer at Country Village Campground highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's. When the weather is good here at Country Village Campground, you can go for a hike along the Chandler Ridge Trail, and the friendly people of Brandon like to hang out nearby. The Duval Trail is a delightful hiking trail next to Country Village Campground, and a day on Pico Mountain is just what you need.

Rocky Pond
 | 14 miles away 4 PHOTOS Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go. Keewaydin Trail

Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak.... |
