Why not stop by Higgins Pond if you're passing through these parts. And if that's not enough there's loads more fun stuff to do in the Green Mountains. You can see South Mountain from Higgins Pond, and Higgins Pond is right by the Abbey Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Higgins Pond without first checking out Bristol Rock, and scenic scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Mad River Glen. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains.

| | If you need a location to stay Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury is a great choice; do take a hike on the Oak Ridge Trail.
The annual rainfall here at Higgins Pond is about average; most of the rain falls during August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. River. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. A picturesque lake like North Pond near Higgins Pond is a pleasant place to check out, and Higgins Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Maple Hill Campsites is a
good local campground.
Skiing at Sugarbush is one of those things you just should do. Do go to Bristol Pond near Higgins Pond, it's a delightful lake, and the trees of Middleblury Municipal Forest are a magnificent source of shade
on hot summer days. Higgins Pond is located in the Green Mountains.
Throughout the summertime months at Higgins Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs
during the wintertime are mostly in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Higgins Pond temperatures sink to the 0's. Camping at Green Mountain Family Campground is always a magnificent experience; the Beaver Meadow Trail offers hiking at its best.
