If you are in Addison county it's always a good idea to stop by Higgins Pond. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Green Mountains. This is a delightful region for people who like lakes. Middlebury Water Supply is a lake nearby, and at Higgins Pond you can distinguish South Mountain. From a rain point of view Higgins Pond is a rather typical spot; through August this area sees the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. All through the warmest time of the year at Higgins Pond highs are mostly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Near Higgins Pond you discover the Oak Ridge Trail which is a great hiking trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend New Haven River.
Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. If the weather is nice here at Higgins Pond, you can go for a hike along the Beaver Meadow Trail; if you need a spot to stay Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury is a magnificent choice. This
lake is so wonderful. A pleasant location to camp here at Higgins Pond is Maple Hill Campsites, and if you're keen on cool geologic features try Bristol Rock. Camping is available at Green Mountain Family Campground, and Mad River
Glen has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Higgins Pond. The Middlebury Inn is a delightful place to get some rest, and you don't ought to go far to enjoy Middleblury Municipal Forest.

Country Village Campgrounds

Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.
The folks who look after the campground and all the nice pastime activities will make you feel at home. Quite a lot of cool stuff to do next to Country Village Campground, and it's one of those places where everything is close.
If only every location had this much outdoor entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. A tremendous place like Half Moon Pond State Park is near Country Village Campground and is too wonderful to leave out, and going for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warm days of summer at Country Village Campground highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
