While you're here at Hardwood Pond you can take a hike along the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop; CAPITAL INN is a delightful spot to get some rest. Hardwood Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. A great place like Hardwood Flats here at Hardwood Pond is too pleasant to miss, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Winooski River. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Kettle Pond Trail is brilliant fun, and a cool spot to stop at is Eagle Ledge. Summertime highs at Hardwood Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 50's.
