While you're here at Lake Hancock you can take a hike along the Atwood Trail, and you're probably into lakes, South Stream Pond is one of those close by. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do right next door to Lake Hancock. If you came for an overnight stay Clarksburg State Park is a splendid place to camp; on a great day you can take a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail. | | choice, and an afternoon playing golf at MT Anthony Country Club is always a pleasure. The warmest time of the year at Lake Hancock comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Lake Hancock. This is a magnificent area for people who like lakes. South Stream Pond is a lake close by, and a good site for whitewater paddling is Green River. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Old Stage Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and you can run the rapids of Walloomsac River. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Mount Greylock
Ski Club is one of those things you just ought to do, and why not camp at Shady Acres Campground while you're here at Lake Hancock. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great planet it would be. A wonderful
close by hotel is Knights Inn Bennington, and the top of Scrub Hill is easily observed from Lake Hancock. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Haystack, and if you're stopping by from Bennington, you won't be the only one.
From a rain point of view Lake Hancock is a reasonably normal spot; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
