If you like lakes and you're in this part of Vermont you can check out Hancock Pond. Hancock Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Motel and Annex, and if you need a site to stay Fairbanks Inn is a fine choice. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area near Hancock Pond has to

| | offer. The slopes of Lyndon Outing Club are so inviting noone can resist, and perfect hiking is available along the Red Pine Trail. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Burke Mountain, and Mud Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Burke Mountain Campgrounds; there's glorious hiking along the Loggers Loop Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. All the outdoors fun stuff | |

in the Green Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. McKinley Brook flows through this area. There's so much to do here at Hancock Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lakeside Camping Area is a splendid site
for that. At Hancock Pond all through the days of summer highs are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Hancock Pond. Haystack Hill
is a peak you can see from Hancock Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Clyde River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. Don't leave Hancock Pond without first
going for a hike along the Shore Trail, and get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Nulhegan River.
