Burke Mountain is a splendid spot to do that, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Shore Trail. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing things to do in the Green Mountains. There's whitewater on Clyde River for all you adrenaline kick people, and do take a hike on the Red Pine Trail. Man, is there heaps of cool stuff to do near Hancock Pond. Camping       at Burke Mountain Campgrounds is always a good experience, and Hancock Pond is not the only place close by, Sukes Pond is a close by lake. Get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Nulhegan River, and picturesque scenery and splendid skiing is what you acquire at Lyndon Outing Club. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Green Mountains. A fine place to camp here at Hancock Pond is Lakeside Camping Area, and if you've                  had enough of Hancock Pond, Walker Pond is nearby. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Loggers Loop Trail, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Motel and Annex is a nice spot to spend a night or two. The amount of rainfall that falls at Hancock Pond is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a perfect little spree to McKinley Brook; the summit of Haystack Hill can be distinguished from Hancock Pond.
