Through the summer at Halfway Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Halfway Pond. The amount of precipitation that falls at Halfway Pond is close to the national average; during August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This       lake is so wonderful. A fine place to camp here at Halfway Pond is Lakeside Camping Area, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Nulhegan River. Near Halfway Pond you find the Number Six Road which is a great hiking trail, and swamps like The Loon Hole near Halfway Pond make for splendid sites to pop by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. The summit of The Hurricane can be seen from Halfway Pond, and                  do stop by Line Pond, it's a charming lake. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Burke Mountain, and why not camp at Char- BO Campground since you're here at Halfway Pond. The Gore Trail is a splendid hiking trail right next door to Halfway Pond, and delightful skiing awaits you at Lyndon Outing Club. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Clyde River. This lake is so wonderful.
