    The beauty of Halfmoon Lake is reason enough to stop by. Do take a look at Said Dam if you're here at Halfmoon Lake, and swamps can be such interesting sites, take a look at Beaver Meadow while you're here at Halfmoon Lake. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are in fact abundant here at Halfmoon Lake. Go for a hike on the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial, and during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Rutland for sure. Going for a hike on the Half Moon Pond  
   Trail is always a great adventure, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Prospect Bay Country Club is around here.
From Halfmoon Lake you obtain a perfect view of Cedar Mountain, and lakes are such calm locations, why not pop by Lake Bomoseen. You completely have to fancy Halfmoon Lake. Halfmoon Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Bomoseen State Park Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby, and Lake Hortonia is a great
 
               lake nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Page Point close to Halfmoon Lake is always a great idea, and great hiking is available along the Glen Lake Trail. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Halfmoon Lake is Poultney River, and a great close by hotel is The Middlebury Inn. For the duration of the summer months at Halfmoon Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Halfmoon Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's.
An average amount of rainfall falls at Halfmoon Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury is a good choice, and Half Moon State Park Campground is a great campground nearby.
