of Halfmoon Lake is Poultney River, and a great close by hotel is The Middlebury Inn. For the duration of the summer months at Halfmoon Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Throughout
the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Halfmoon Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. An average amount of rainfall falls at Halfmoon Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain; February
is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury is a good choice, and Half Moon State Park Campground is a great campground nearby.
