It's always fun to stop by Halfmoon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Very tremendous water scenery is available at Said Dam near Halfmoon Lake, and there's good hiking along the Glen Lake Trail. On a great day you can go to Beaver Meadow, a swamp in close proximity to Halfmoon Lake; Page Point is rather close. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Halfmoon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Half Moon State Park Campground; Cedar Mountain is a peak you can make out from Halfmoon Lake. Throughout the long summer days at Halfmoon Lake highs are generally in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Halfmoon Lake. Halfmoon Lake is a site with many visitors from Rutland. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Lake Bomoseen Inn is a perfect place to spend
a night or two. There's so much to do here at Halfmoon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bomoseen State Park Campground is a splendid site for that. While you're here at Halfmoon Lake you can play some golf at Prospect
Bay Country Club, and you can go for a hike on the Half Moon Pond Trail. Don't leave Halfmoon Lake without first going for a hike along the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial, and a picturesque lake like Black Pond is a delightful spot
to pop by. A pleasant close by hotel is Edgewater Motel, and there are some great whitewater spots on Poultney River.
