When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Greenwood Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more enjoyable things to do in the Green Mountains. Greenwood Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Spooners Trailer Park and Campground       is a brilliant local campground, and if you're a golfer then a delightful nearby course is Woodbury Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Days Inn Barre Montpelier is a splendid choice, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Kettle Pond Trail. If the weather is glorious here at Greenwood Lake, you can go for a hike along the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop, and a great nearby hotel is The Inn at Montpelier. Greenwood                  Lake truly is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Take a little visit to Buck Lake Brook if you're here at Greenwood Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Owls Head Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area next to Greenwood Lake has to offer. Don't leave Greenwood Lake without first paying a visit to Blake Falls; Greenwood Lake is not the only place close by, Walton Pond is a close by lake. Greenwood Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February.
