If only every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great world it would be. There is a good hiking trail near Great Averill Pond called the Gore Trail, and The Inlet is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to. On a glorious day at Great Averill Pond you can take a hike along the Number Six Road; a good nearby hotel is Maurice Motel. This lake is so       wonderful. Gotta ski! Burke Mountain is a good site to do that. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Great Averill Pond get into the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Great Averill Pond. Paddling on Nulhegan River is so much fun, and a glorious location to camp here at Great Averill Pond is Lakeside Camping                  Area. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is delightful here at Great Averill Pond, you can go for a hike along the Gaudette Tote Road, and Great Averill Pond Dam is a picturesque spot. Great Averill Pond gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. A lake nearby is Forest Lake, and why not camp at Big Rock Campground and Store while you're here at Great Averill Pond.
