Great Averill Pond is a good spot of common rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. Looking for some flowing water? Try The Inlet, and there's tremendous hiking along the Number Six Road.

   Sure, Little Averill Lake is around here. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Great Averill Pond. Little Averill Pond is a great lake near Great Averill Pond; Burke Mountain is a great local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Great Averill Pond without first going for a hike along the Gaudette Tote Road, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nulhegan River.

               the summer highs here at Great Averill Pond reach the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Great Averill Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Great Averill Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lakeside Camping Area, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Great Averill Pond; Gore Trail is a great local trail. There's so much to do here at Great Averill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Big Rock Campground and Store is a great site for that, and why not go to Great Averill Pond Dam while you're here.
