Great Averill Pond Dam is a place that is near Great Averill Pond; you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Gaudette Tote Road. Going for a hike along the Number Six Road will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. There's so much to do here at Great Averill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Big Rock Campground and Store is a tremendous       location for that. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is glorious here at Great Averill Pond, you can go for a hike along the Gore Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Burke Mountain close at hand. Throughout the days of summer here at Great Averill Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Great                  Averill Pond temperatures dip to the-10's.
