Great Averill Pond is a good spot of common rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. Looking for some flowing water? Try The Inlet, and there's tremendous hiking along the Number Six Road.

| | Sure, Little Averill Lake is around here. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Great Averill Pond. Little Averill Pond is a great lake near Great Averill Pond; Burke Mountain is a great local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Great Averill Pond without first going for a hike along the Gaudette Tote Road, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nulhegan River.
