Beautiful Glen Lake has much to offer visitors. Glen Lake Dam is a site that is near Glen Lake, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Rutland here. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Prospect Bay Country Club is always a bliss; Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is a great place to get some rest. | | months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Moscow Pond is a perfect lake in the neighborhood of Glen Lake; there's whitewater on Poultney River for all you adrenaline kick people. Dry warm beds await you at Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel, and there are other sites here than Glen Lake, for example Wheeler Pond. Man, is there a load of amusing things to do close to Glen Lake. Glen Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Glen Lake are in the 0's. If the weather is pleasant here
at Glen Lake, you can go for a hike along the Glen Lake Trail, and there are swamps here too, Beaver Meadow is in the neighborhood. Camping is available at Half Moon State Park Campground, and Cedar Mountain is a peak you can distinguish
from Glen Lake. Some perfect nature is available in Fair Haven Municipal Forest, and the Bomoseen Hiking Loop is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. There is a good hiking trail
in close proximity to Glen Lake called the Half Moon Pond Trail, and since you're here you have to take a look at O'Brien Point.

Country Village Campgrounds

Country Village Campground has 41 spacious sites that can accommodate small tents all the way up to the largest of campers. The bath house is clean and spacious with hot showers, and it is located right in the middle of the campground for easy access to all sites. A trip to Country Village Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Branbury State Park; nearby you hit upon the Silver Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Camping in Vermont is such a fun thing to do. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back persistently.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Fern Lake which is small and pristine. At this campground you will always have a delightful time. Getting to Neshobe River from Country Village Campground is simple, and Middlebury River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.

Rocky Pond
 | 16 miles away 4 PHOTOS Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go. Keewaydin Trail
 | 17 miles away White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak.... |
