The beauty of Gilmore Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Near Gilmore Pond you discover the Battell Trail which is a great hiking trail; lakes are such calm spots, why not pop by North Pond. The yearly precipitation here at Gilmore Pond is about average; during August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. to offer, you can camp at Green Mt. Family Campground, and South Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Gilmore Pond. Gilmore Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at The Middlebury Inn.
There's so much to do here at Gilmore Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Maple Hill Campsites is a great place for that. This lake is so wonderful. New Haven River has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by; a day on the
slopes of Sugarbush is just what you need. All year is a good time in the Green Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is nice on New Haven River, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mad River Glen is reasonably
near. For the duration of the days of summer here at Gilmore Pond, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Gilmore Pond temperatures drop to the 0's.
