Hiking is a popular thing to do around Fosters Pond; Big Deer Mountain Trail is a great local trail, and Fosters Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Big Deer Campground is a perfect local campground. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Lyndon Outing Club, and magnificent hiking is available along the Coldwater Brook Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is mostly the driest month. There's whitewater on Joe's Brook River for all you thrill seekers, and time spent at Boulder Beach is always nice. Just can't get enough of the
Green Mountains. Get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Wells River; Comfort Inn & Suites is a perfect site to get some rest. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more exciting stuff to do in the Green Mountains.
Don't leave Fosters Pond without first going for a hike along the Peacham Bog Trail, and an out of the ordinary thing to have a look at right next door to Fosters Pond is Martins Pond Dam. This lake is so wonderful. You get a great
vista of Devils Hill from Fosters Pond, and camping at Ricker Campground is always a glorious experience. But wait, there's more to do close to Fosters Pond. After a long day outdoors Fairbanks Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two; Fosters Pond is not the only site nearby, Martins Pond is a nearby lake.
