Sunrise Lake Dam is worth visiting if you're here. There's so much to do here at Fortier Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Half Moon State Park Campground is a pleasant place for that. Go for a hike on the Glen Lake Trail; since you're here, you could also pop by beautiful Johnson Pond. Summertime highs at Fortier Pond commonly tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place

travel far to have a look at exciting stuff like Arnolds Ledge. If you come at the right time of year, Otter Creek offers some brilliant whitewater, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial.
This lake is so wonderful. At Fortier Pond you can catch a glimpse of Conkey Hill, and Sunrise Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. If you need a place to stay The Middlebury Inn is a nice choice; whitewater paddling is not
for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Poultney River. Fortier Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.

Camping in Vermont is such a fun thing to do. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back persistently.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Fern Lake which is small and pristine. At this campground you will always have a delightful time. Getting to Neshobe River from Country Village Campground is simple, and Middlebury River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.

 | 14 miles away White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak.... |
