Camping is available at Lakeside Camping Area, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Gore Trail. A perfect spot for whitewater paddling close to Forest Lake is Mohawk River, and the Number Six Road offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Nulhegan River, and there's good hiking along the Gaudette Tote Road. The warmest time of the year at Forest Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's;

This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Forest Lake, for example Little Averill Lake, and Great Averill Pond Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. Is it still there????...Growing up I have had a place on maidstone lake it was my favorit spot at a kid and one day I hope to own another camp up there. I had the best time from water skiing to fishing.
