    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Forest Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Forest Lake you can take a hike along the Gaudette Tote Road; glorious skiing awaits you at Burke Mountain. If the weather is great here at Forest Lake, you can go for a hike along the Number Six Road, and Forest Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lakeside Camping Area is a great local campground. At Forest Lake during the summertime months highs  
   are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Forest Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's.
If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Forest Lake. There's some interesting stuff to see at Great Averill Pond Dam close to Forest Lake, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Gore Trail. Whitewater paddling is fine on Nulhegan River,
 
               and people from Berlin love to come here.
This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Averill Lake is near Forest Lake; the view of Cole Hill is stunning. There's so much to do here at Forest Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Rock Campground and Store is a brilliant place for that, naturally you could also pop by Great Averill Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. The amount of rain that falls at Forest Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February is when it's the driest.
Visit Black Brook if you're here at Forest Lake, and paddling on Mohawk River is so much fun.
