     Camping is available at Lakeside Camping Area, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Gore Trail. A perfect spot for whitewater paddling close to Forest Lake is Mohawk River, and the Number Six Road offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Nulhegan River, and there's good hiking along the Gaudette Tote Road. The warmest time of the year at Forest Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's;  
   through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Forest Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Forest Lake, for example Little Averill Lake, and Great Averill Pond Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. A great site to camp here at Forest Lake is Big Rock Campground and Store, and what would winter be without
 
               some skiing at Burke Mountain. Some close by water includes Black Brook, and you'll possibly meet some folks from Berlin here.
That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Forest Lake has it all. The peak of Cole Hill can be seen from Forest Lake. Lakes? Sure, Great Averill Pond is in close proximity. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Forest Lake; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February.
