     If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Green Mountains. While you're here at Fern Lake, you could also have a look at striking Spring Pond. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is plentiful here in the Green Mountains. A day on the slopes of Pico Mountain is just what you need, and do take a hike on the Chandler Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Middlebury River, and why not explore Silver Lake Dam while you're here. Sucker Brook flows through this vicinity, and this is a popular site for people from Rutland. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Falls of Lana is always fun to check
 
               out; why not camp at Point Counterpoint since you're here at Fern Lake.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. You absolutely must have a thing about Fern Lake. Burnell Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by; you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Leicester Hollow Trail. If the weather is lovely, you acquire a great vista of Lion Hill from Fern Lake; if you came for an overnight stay United State Forest Service Silver Lake Campground is a delightful place to camp.
An average amount of rain falls at Fern Lake; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Going for a hike along the Silver Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you're a golfer then a brilliant close by course is Neshobe Golf Club. High temperatures at Fern Lake during the warm months are in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Fern Lake sink into the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Courtyard Middlebury is a good place to get some rest, and Otter Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby.
