If you like lakes and you're in this part of Vermont you can check out Fern Lake. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. Lake Dunmore is a great lake near Fern Lake, and in the vicinity of Fern Lake you locate a golf course called Neshobe Golf Club. | | along the Leicester Hollow Trail, and Silver Lake Dam has delightful water scenery. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Green Mountains. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Middlebury River, and a great nearby hotel is Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury. available at United State Forest Service Silver Lake Campground. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Fern Lake get into the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into
the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Fern Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Lion Hill is scenic and can be distinguished from Fern Lake, and Sugarbush has good slopes and
a friendly staff. Be careful coming to Fern Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Pico Mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity, and going for a hike on the Chandler Ridge Trail is always a good adventure.
This lake is so wonderful. Sucker Brook is a wonderful local stream, and after a long day outdoors The Middlebury Inn is a splendid site to spend a night or two. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Green Mountains will keep you
coming back over and over. Don't leave Fern Lake without first going for a hike along the Silver Lake Trail. The annual rainfall here at Fern Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one
that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. A good place to camp here at Fern Lake is Point Counterpoint, and there are other locations here than Fern Lake, for example Silver Lake.
