If you like lakes and you're in this part of Vermont you can check out Fern Lake. That right there is plenty of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Fern Lake; Chandler Ridge Trail is a fine local trail; from Fern Lake you acquire a brilliant vista of Lion Hill. From a rain point of view Fern Lake is a relatively typical spot; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains

| | the most; the driest of the months is February. Yeah, come up here to the Green Mountains for a brilliant time. Whitewater paddling is good on Middlebury River; great water scenery is available at Silver Lake Dam close to Fern Lake. That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Fern Lake has it all. a long day outdoors The Middlebury Inn is a perfect location to spend a night or two; for you golfers we recommend close by Neshobe Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Sucker Brook is in close proximity to Fern Lake and is always
a delight to visit; Burnell Pond is a wonderful lake close by. The Leicester Hollow Trail offers hiking at its best, and a journey to Fern Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Falls of Lana. Fern Lake is a beautiful
lake in the Green Mountains. Paddling on Otter Creek is so much fun; this is a popular location for people from Rutland. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. If you came to camp United State Forest Service
Silver Lake Campground is a good place to do that, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Pico Mountain. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Fern Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's.
Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Fern Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
