Why not stop by Emerald Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. Very scenic scenery and tremendous skiing is what you get at Snow Valley, and get covered with water paddling on Big Branch. This lake is so wonderful. There are pleasant sites to look at along the Baker Peak Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Bromley

You'll need more than a day to explore everything Emerald Lake has to offer, you can camp at Campground A; if you need a spot to stay Eyrie Motel is a great choice. Lake that you can go to, and float down the rapids of Mill River in a kayak. At Emerald Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly
in the 30's with temperatures at Emerald Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Emerald Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest
month of the year is February. Here at Emerald Lake there are plenty of people from Bennington. This lake is so wonderful. Near Emerald Lake you come across the Mad Tom Trail which is a fine hiking trail. There's so much to do
here at Emerald Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Campground B is a delightful location for that. Marbledge Lodge is a nice place to get some rest; going for a hike on the Lake Trail is always a great adventure.
