The beauty of Echo Lake is reason enough to stop by. Beebe Pond is a nice lake in the neighborhood of Echo Lake; Echo Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Half Moon State Park Campground is a good place to camp nearby. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Echo Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. Prospect Bay Country Club is always a joy. This lake is so wonderful. Big D Campground is a wonderful campground nearby; if you're here at Echo Lake, checking out Barber Ledge is a must. Going for a hike on the Half Moon Pond
Trail is always a good adventure, and Poultney River is a perfect whitewater spot nearby. After a long day outdoors Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury is a brilliant location to spend a night or two; nearby you discover the Daniel Coffey
Memorial Trial which is a fine hiking trail. This place, Echo Lake, it simply has so much outdoors fun stuff. You can distinguish Eagle Rock from Echo Lake, and a pleasant site to take a look at nearby is Hubbardton Gulf. For
the period of the warm months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Echo Lake with night lows in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Echo Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's.

At this campground you will always have a delightful time. Getting to Neshobe River from Country Village Campground is simple, and Middlebury River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.
The folks who look after the campground and all the nice pastime activities will make you feel at home. Quite a lot of cool stuff to do next to Country Village Campground, and it's one of those places where everything is close.
If only every location had this much outdoor entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. This is true rustic camping...the only things offered at the campground is an outhouse and a brook for bathing..(coldest water I've ever been in).. wonderful hiking trails... beautiful beaver pond.... and generally some wonderful people around to sit around a fire with!!... |
