Echo Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing things to do in the Green Mountains. Burke Mountain is a brilliant local ski area. There's so much to do here at Echo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, White Caps Campground is a glorious location for that. This lake is so wonderful. close by hotel is Holiday Motel and Annex. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Green Mountains. There's fine hiking along the South Shore Hiking Trail, and everybody close by loves skiing at Lyndon
Outing Club. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. You can run the rapids of Clyde River in close proximity to Echo Lake, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a pleasant choice.

It is a lake that talks to you, as far as my opinion goes. I lived in Newport,Newport Center (Bear Mountain) and Noth Troy when I was bewtween the ages of 9-13. I am now 42!
I just recently went back to Newport and that beautiful lake that talked to me, and i think it helped me figure out a part of my life that has been a little bit difficult to understand and move ahead. I Do have somr pictures in some old photo albumd, and I will make an effort to submit, Agian I am Surprised I am the first to comment on this Lake, it is ,as far as I am concerned one of the wonder of NEW ENGLAND!... |
