Echo Lake is a nice lake to visit. Echo Lake is located in the Green Mountains. Lakes are good; Mud Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Echo Lake, and a great spot to camp here at Echo Lake is White Caps Campground. Soar down the rapids of Clyde River in a kayak, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Mount Pisgah Trail. High temperatures at Echo Lake through the summer are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually

| | in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Echo Lake. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Barton River offers some pleasant whitewater; of course, this is a delightful area for people who like lakes, Echo Lake is a lake in the vicinity. - Derby/Newport Area, and skiing at Burke Mountain is one of those things you just have to do. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Echo Lake you can take a hike along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail, and Deer Hill
is picturesque and can be seen from here. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Echo Lake, too great to be true. Going for a hike along the South Shore Hiking Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; you can
never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Lyndon Outing Club. If you need a place to stay Holiday Motel and Annex is a perfect choice. The yearly rain here at Echo Lake is about average; most of the rain falls during August,
and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side visit to Allyn Brook, and Echo Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Will-o-wood Campground is a great local campground.
