    The beauty of Dufresne Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do in the Green Mountains. At Dufresne Pond you always meet someone from Bennington. At Dufresne Pond all through the summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Dufresne  
   Pond temperatures descend to the 0's.
These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing things to do in the Green Mountains. If you need a site to stay Manchester View Fine Lodging is a wonderful choice, unsurprisingly you could also explore Bourn Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Dufresne Pond. There's so much to do here at Dufresne Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Campground C
 
               is a splendid site for that; if you come at the right time of year, Battenkill River offers some glorious whitewater. Any time is a tremendous time at Dufresne Pond if you love the outdoors. Dufresne Pond is not the only place nearby, South Village Pond is a nearby lake, and you don’t have to go far from Dufresne Pond to catch a glimpse of the water at Dufresne Pond Dam.
Very lovely scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Bromley; get yourself into a kayak and hit Roaring Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Snow Valley is a wonderful site to do that; a golf course close by is Equinox Country Club. Prospect Rock is painless to spot from Dufresne Pond, and Bourn Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting.
Going for a hike on the Branch Pond Trail is always a delightful adventure; you could always discover Downer Glen. Dufresne Pond generally gets lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls throughout August; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Maryville Campground and Gift Shop; the Lye Brook Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby.
You truly have to fancy the Green Mountains. There is a splendid hiking trail next to Dufresne Pond called the Mad Tom Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Inns at the Equinox.
