If you like lakes and you're in this part of Vermont you can check out Duck Pond. Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a pleasant location to get some rest. From a rainfall point of view Duck Pond is a rather typical location; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There is a fine hiking trail near Duck Pond called the Mount Gore Trail,

| | and there's whitewater on Nulhegan River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. All the outdoors fun stuff next to Duck Pond will keep you coming back again and again. On a great day at Duck Pond you can take a hike along the Mount Pisgah East Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Clyde River. Char-Bo Campground since you're here at Duck Pond; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Burke Mountain is relatively near. High temperatures at Duck Pond through the days of summer are in the 70's while overnight lows are generally
in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are frequently in the 20's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Duck Pond tend to be in the 0's. A pleasant spot to camp here at Duck Pond is Char- BO Campground, and if you get bored of Duck Pond you could also stop at close by Round Pond.
