In Vermont there are many beautiful lakes, Duck Pond is one of them. Orchard Point is rather close to Duck Pond, and the skiing at Cochran Ski Center is splendid. Camping at Old Lantern Campground is always a great experience, and the Island Farm Nature Trail offers hiking at its best.

| | hiking along the West Shore Trail; Lone Tree Hill is a peak you can see from Duck Pond. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boquet River, and Duck Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Shelburne Camping Area is a great local campground.

Pond; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Just can't get enough of Duck Pond. Lewis Creek is a perfect whitewater spot right next door to Duck Pond, and if you need a place to stay
