    Go to Duck Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Stiles Pond is near Duck Pond, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Cobble Hill Trail. Duck Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Moose River Camp Ground is a glorious local campground, and while you're here, you could visit Duck Pond Brook. All the outdoors amusing things in the Green Mountains will  
   keep you coming back many times. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a pleasant choice, and St Johnsbury Country Club is a great golf course nearby.
During the days of summer at Duck Pond highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 20's, and night lows at Duck Pond during the wintertime typically descend into the 0's. Yeah, come up here to the Green Mountains for
 
               a great time. This lake is so wonderful. You're most likely hooked on lakes, Caswell Pond is one of those close by, and there's whitewater on Moose River for all you thrill seekers.
Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Motel and Annex; hiking along the Bear Den Trail is pleasant fun. Duck Pond gets a typical amount of rain; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Saint Johnsbury Municipal Forest is worth stopping at, and camping at Moose River Campground is always a nice experience.
This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Lyndon Outing Club; if you're here you can take a hike along the Jericho Road Trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Burke Mountain; Stiles Pond Dam is a striking place, beyond doubt worth visiting. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Duck Pond. Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Ammonoosuc River, and here at Duck Pond you can catch a glimpse of Badger Mountain.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains.

We have been campers on Ticklenaked Pond for 30 plus years and love it's pristine water and oh yes....the loons. We have now been seasonal campers for 8 years and plan on many more. This is a wonderful family campground with much to enjoy such as a fishing derby for the kids, pot luck dinners, karaoke, live bands at least a couple of times during the season, paddle boats to rent, swimming, boating, hot showers and many, many, wonderful folks.
The proprietors, Harry and Sandy Cushing are great hosts. Come join us for a night, a weekend or for the season.
