If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Dow Pond. The Middlebury Inn is a glorious site to get some rest, and New Haven River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. During the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Dow Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows       in the 0's to Dow Pond. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Sugarbush, and camping is available at Green Mountain Family Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Oak Ridge Trail is always a pleasant adventure; a nice close by hotel is Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury. There is a nice hiking trail near Dow Pond called the Abbey Pond Trail; a picturesque lake like Abbey Pond is a delightful place to stop at. Do check out Middlebury Water                  Supply close to Dow Pond, it's a pretty lake; Dow Pond Dam is lovely. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Middlebury River is so much fun, and the slopes of Mad River Glen are so inviting noone can resist. Near Dow Pond you locate the Beaver Meadow Trail which is a splendid hiking trail; if you came for an overnight stay Lake Dunmore Kamperville is a fine location to camp.
