Going for a hike on the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial is always a good adventure, and a scenic lake like Perch Pond is a great place to pop by. This place is great, just look at all the fun things to do close to Doughty Pond. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Conway Swamp is right close by, and since you're here and you like golf, you can explore Prospect Bay Country Club. High temperatures at Doughty Pond during the days of summer are in the 80's. Through

This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Bomoseen State Park Campground is a splendid spot to do that, and you need to take a look at Arnolds Ledge since you're here. The top of Bishop Hill is easily seen from Doughty Pond; at Doughty Pond you always meet someone from Rutland. | |

There's whitewater on Poultney River for all you adrenaline junkies, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is a great location to spend a night or two. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel Ticonderoga
is a fine choice, and do explore Spruce Pond, it's a picturesque lake. The yearly rainfall here at Doughty Pond is about average; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is
the driest. Any time is a brilliant time at Doughty Pond if you go for the outdoors. This lake is so wonderful. There's always Sunrise Lake Dam to stop at near Doughty Pond; don't leave Doughty Pond without first going for a hike
along the Glen Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Doughty Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Half Moon State Park Campground is a glorious location for that; you can go for a hike on the Half Moon Pond Trail.

The folks who look after the campground and all the nice pastime activities will make you feel at home. Quite a lot of cool stuff to do next to Country Village Campground, and it's one of those places where everything is close.
If only every location had this much outdoor entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. A tremendous place like Half Moon Pond State Park is near Country Village Campground and is too wonderful to leave out, and going for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warm days of summer at Country Village Campground highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's. When the weather is good here at Country Village Campground, you can go for a hike along the Chandler Ridge Trail, and the friendly people of Brandon like to hang out ne... |

 | 17 miles away White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak.... |
