Lake Derby is a lake worth visiting. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Burke Mountain, and do visit Little Salem Pond, it's a picturesque lake. Summertime at Lake Derby comes with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; overnight lows at Lake Derby during the wintertime mostly plunge into the 0's. A brilliant place to camp here at

| | Lake Derby is Char- BO Campground, and if you want to hit the beach, Balm of Gilead Beach is in close proximity. This place, Lake Derby, it clearly has so much outdoors fun stuff. Camping at Fireside Campground is always a great experience, and of course Crystal Brook is a beautiful stream that is worth taking a look at. Hiking along the Mount Pisgah East Trail is magnificent fun; get drenched paddling on Clyde River. Take a hike on the Pisgah Trail, and | |

at Lake Derby you can see Bates Hill. This lake is so wonderful. You'll discover a delightful lake called Lake Salem near Lake Derby; get yourself into a kayak and hit Barton River. Lake Derby is a good spot of normal rainfall;
throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Have a great hiking adventure along the Mount Pisgah Trail, and a golf
course close by is Newport Country Club. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a nice site to spend a night or two.
