Curtis Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. There is a glorious hiking trail close to Curtis Pond called the Silver Ledge Trail, and Curtis Pond Dam is a stunning spot. So much amusing stuff to do in the Green Mountains, not enough time. If you came for an overnight stay Green Valley Campground is a magnificent spot to camp, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Kettle Pond Trail. There's

| | no way somebody can get bored here in the Green Mountains. There's whitewater on Winooski River for all you adrenaline people, and not far from here you can enjoy the trees of Calais Town Forest. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable stuff to do near Curtis Pond. Onion River Campground is a great campground nearby, and a lake close by is Hawkins Pond. On a great day at Curtis Pond you can take a hike along the Owls Head Trail, and at Curtis Pond you can distinguish | |

Blackberry Hill. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. Stowe is a brilliant local ski area; at Curtis Pond you always meet someone from Barre. For the duration of the months of summer at Curtis Pond temperatures
are frequently in the 60's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are typically in the 10's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Curtis Pond temperatures descend to the 0's. This lake is so
wonderful. A great nearby hotel is The Inn at Montpelier, and Curtis Pond is not the only place close by, Sodom Pond is a close by lake. You can run the rapids of Minister Brook in close proximity to Curtis Pond, and after a long
day outdoors Hilltop Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. Curtis Pond is a relatively wet place generally with much precipitation; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is frequently
the driest month. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great earth it would be.
