There's just no way someone can get bored here at Cooks Pond. On a good day at Cooks Pond you can take a hike along the Futures Trail. Camping at Running Bear Camping Area is always a wonderful experience, and Springfield Town Forest is a tremendous forest neighborhood       close by. Cooks Pond regularly gets a large amount of rainfall; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. All through the summer months at Cooks Pond highs are typically in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 20's, and overnight lows at Cooks Pond through the wintertime typically sink into the 0's. If you come at the right time of                  year, Black River offers some delightful whitewater, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Hang Glider Trail. Any time is a fine time at Cooks Pond if you adore the outdoors. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Slot Trail, and Camp Hill is painless to spot from Cooks Pond. You're sure to stumble upon some friendly folks from Lebanon here, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Williams River. A lake nearby is Bloodsucker Pond, and why not head up to Ascutney and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Cooks Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Crown Point Camping Area is a great local campground; if you're a golfer then a pleasant nearby course is Crown Point Country Club. This lake is so wonderful.
