Do stop by Cooks Pond while you're in this part of Vermont. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Slot Trail. Black River; since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Lebanon. The panorama of Camp Hill from Cooks Pond is stunning, and Ascutney has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. So many enjoyable things to do
here at Cooks Pond, too good to be true. If you came to camp Running Bear Camping Area is a great spot to do that. Cooks Pond is right by the Hang Glider Trail, and Springfield Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look
at. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Springfield, Vt, and if you get bored of Cooks Pond you could also pop by close by Stoughton Pond. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll fancy Cooks Pond. Suicide Six is a very popular
ski area close by; while you're here and you like golf, you can go to Crown Point Country Club. The high level of precipitation makes Cooks Pond a relatively wet location; most of the rain falls during August, and February is when it's the driest.
