    The beauty of Cooks Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Mill River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Cooks Pond; Keewaydin Trail is a perfect local trail. Cooks Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. All year is a magnificent time in the Green Mountains if you like the outdoors. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Pico Mountain; if you need a place to stay Killington Grand Resort  
   Hotel is a great choice.
So many cool things to do here in the Green Mountains, too great to be true. It's a delightful idea to explore Gould Brook, it's close to Cooks Pond, and you can stay the night at Iroquois Land Family Campground. There are some good whitewater spots on Big Branch, and a great close by hotel is Glazebrook Townhouses. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. Night Eagle Wilderness is a nice campground nearby;
 
               you can go for a hike on the Bucklin Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Cooks Pond, you could also visit striking Spring Lake, and at Cooks Pond you can observe Comtois Hill. Cooks Pond is not far at all from Rutland. Cooks Pond gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest.
Skiing at Killington is one of those things you just must do; fine hiking is available along the Juggernaut Trail. Summertime at Cooks Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and overnight lows at Cooks Pond throughout the winter generally fall into the 0's.
