    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Cook Pond. Cook Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the duration of the warm months here at Cook Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's  
   for Cook Pond. Man, is there a heap of entertaining things to do in the Green Mountains. A forest in the neighborhood of Cook Pond is Ludlow Municipal Forest; get dripping wet paddling on West River.
Cook Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Cook Pond has it all. Don't leave Cook Pond without first paying a visit to Buttermilk Falls, and close to Cook Pond you come across a golf course
 
               called Okemo Valley Golf Club. You completely have to like the Green Mountains. What would winter be without some skiing at Okemo, and do pop by Echo Lake, it's a wonderful lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Sugarhouse Campground is a glorious local campground, and nearby you come across the Barnard Trail which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Hideaway Squirrel Hill Camp since you're here at Cook Pond, and if you're hooked on cool geologic traits try The Pinnacle. After a long day outdoors The Pointe at Castle Hill Resort is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and you'll locate a beautiful lake called Lake Rescue.
You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Killington if you're here, and don't forget to take a delightful little spree to Branch Brook. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Reservoir Pond Dam next to Cook Pond, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Black River. And that's not all you can do here at Cook Pond. You ought to go to Carpenter Point when you're here at Cook Pond, and going for a hike on the Bucklin Trail is always a good adventure.
These mountains rock, just check out all the cool things to do in the Green Mountains. Jackson Gore Inn on Okemo Mountain is a great place to get some rest; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Juggernaut Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
