Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Proctor-Pittsford Country Club; the snow is perfect at Killington. Chittenden Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. Get covered with water paddling on Clarendon River, and you can take a little trip to Chittenden Dam if you're here at Chittenden Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Billings       Brook, and Chittenden Brook Campground is a splendid local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Mountain Top Inn and Resort is a delightful choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Chittenden Reservoir; New Boston Trail is a fine local trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Chittenden Reservoir. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime                  are in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Chittenden Reservoir temperatures descend to the 0's. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. A great nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Killington Area, and naturally, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, Lefferts Pond is a lake around here. Lakes are tremendous; North Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Chittenden Reservoir, and Chittenden Reservoir is right by the Canty Trail. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Green Mountains. Chittenden Reservoir is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Hapgood Pond - Green Mountain National Forest is a delightful place to camp nearby; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Pico Mountain. So many exciting things to do at Chittenden Reservoir, so little time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Mill River. From a precipitation point of view Chittenden Reservoir is a quite typical site; most of the rain falls during August; February is the month with the least moisture.
