Vermont has many beautiful lakes and Chipman Lake is one of them. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Green Mountains. The skiing at Snow Valley is perfect. There's so much to do here at Chipman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Campground A is a great place for that. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Mill River, and don't leave Chipman Lake without first going for a hike along the Baker Peak Trail. Chipman Lake

Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Big Branch; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Rutland/Killington Area, Vt. This lake is so wonderful. the surroundings of Chipman Lake is Clark Mountain, and there are perfect places to discover along the Green Mountain Trail. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Chipman Lake, high temperatures generally get into the
80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Chipman Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Chipman Lake has
to offer, you can camp at Otter Creek Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Homer Stone Trail. Chipman Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest
of the months is February. So many amusing things to do here at Chipman Lake, too great to be true. Chipman Lake is not far at all from Rutland, and Red Roof Inn Rutland - Killington is a fine site to get some rest.
