    What a nice lake Chapels Pond is. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area in the vicinity of Chapels Pond has to offer. Drift down the rapids of Winooski River in a kayak. There's so much to do here at Chapels Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Green Valley Campground is a delightful place for that. Hit the slopes at Stowe around here, and do pop by Nelson Pond, it's a charming lake. You just can't imagine the amount  
   of outdoors entertaining stuff the Green Mountains has to offer. You don’t have to go far from Chapels Pond to observe the water at Adamant Pond Dam, and after a long day outdoors Hilltop Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two.
East Montpelier Municipal Forest is a forest right next door to Chapels Pond that you can go to; there are splendid locations to explore along the Owls Head Trail. Chapels Pond is a wet site that gets a great deal of rainfall;
 
               August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Having a delightful time in the Green Mountains is trouble-free. Get dripping wet paddling on Minister Brook, and during your tour here you'll meet some folks from Barre for sure.
The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Beaver Meadow Brook; there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Kettle Pond Trail. The Inn at Montpelier is a wonderful place to get some rest; going for a hike on the Silver Ledge Trail is always a pleasant adventure.
And that's not all you can do here at Chapels Pond. If you came to camp Onion River Campground is a great location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Chapels Pond you can spot Long Meadow Hill; while you're here, you could also take a look at beautiful Adamant Pond. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Chapels Pond with night lows in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 10's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Chapels Pond.
