This is a great region for folks who like lakes. Nelson Pond is a lake around here, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Winooski River. This lake is so wonderful. Chapels Pond is a great spot to visit for more
than one day, Onion River Campground is a great spot to camp nearby; going for a hike on the Owls Head Trail is always a delightful adventure. Green Valley Campground is a good local campground, and a forest nearby is East Montpelier
Municipal Forest.
What a location this is for outdoors folks. Lakes are splendid; Sodom Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Chapels Pond, and from Chapels Pond you obtain a perfect vista of Long Meadow Hill. This lake
is so wonderful. A wonderful nearby hotel is Hilltop Inn, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Minister Brook. Chapels Pond truly is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Very scenic scenery and great skiing is what you get at Stowe.
