The yearly rain here at Chandler Pond is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Chandler Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Injun Joe Court is a splendid local campground; Moose River is a nice whitewater spot nearby. Through the warm months highs here at Chandler       Pond reach the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. All through the winter highs are usually in the 20's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Chandler Pond tend to be in the 0's. Not far from Chandler Pond, you'll locate Waterman Pond which is a wonderful lake; a good place for whitewater paddling is Joe's Brook River. Chandler Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. So much enjoyable stuff to do                  in the Green Mountains, not sufficient time. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Kirby Country Club is in the neighborhood, and at Chandler Pond Dam near Chandler Pond there are some exciting things to see. After a long day outdoors Holiday Motel and Annex is a magnificent location to spend a night or two, and nearby you come across the Mount Pisgah Trail which is a great hiking trail. Cary Brook flows through this vicinity, and the South Shore Hiking Trail is a great hiking trail close by. This spot, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Bean Pond, and Burke Mountain is a good local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Chandler Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sugar Ridge RV Village & Camp is a splendid spot for that; on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
