    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Cedar Lake. Get your heart beating on the magnificent whitewater of Lewis Creek; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Scott Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cedar Lake; Abbey Pond Trail is a delightful local trail, and pretty scenery and nice skiing is what you obtain at Mad River Glen. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up.

   lake is so wonderful. Cedar Knoll Country Club is a great golf course nearby, and not far from Cedar Lake you'll come across Vergennes Watershed which is a wonderful lake. You completely ought to fancy Cedar Lake. You can run the rapids of New Haven River near Cedar Lake, and what would winter be without some skiing at Cochran Ski Center. Camping is available at Maple Hill Campsites; you can make out Mount Florona from Cedar Lake.
Good hiking is available
 
               along the Beaver Meadow Trail; a glorious place to camp here at Cedar Lake is Rivers Bend Campground. Pond Brook is near Cedar Lake and is always a bliss to stop at, and dry warm beds await you at T-Bird Motor Inn. The warmest time of the year at Cedar Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Cedar Lake.
The Jerusalem Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you need a location to stay Residence Inn By Marriott Burlington is a nice choice. Cedar Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August; February is when it's the driest.

Winona Lake, or as it is known to the locals, Bristol Pond is Vermonts only 'real Peet bog'. The Lake offers about 100 acres of flat water...good for exploring in the canoe. The lake has a healthy population of very aggressive watersnakes, non-poisoness, but they like to get in boats...if you are curious about these creatures go to the two small Islands for a look....

The Old Lantern is no longer used as a campground. Only the large barn is rented out for events, but no overnight accomodations are available currently....

White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak....
