Going for a hike on the Leicester Hollow Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and some delightful nature is available in Proctor Village Municipal Forest. Summertime highs at Butler Pond typically tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Butler Pond. This lake is so wonderful.       Skiing at Pico Mountain is one of those things you just have to do; a golf course close by is Proctor-Pittsford Country Club. The yearly precipitation here at Butler Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August; February is the month with the least moisture. Butler Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Here at Butler Pond there are plenty of people from Rutland, and not far from                  Butler Pond you'll locate Smith Pond which is a wonderful lake. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is plentiful here in the Green Mountains. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Otter Creek.
