     Good hiking is available along the Bomoseen Hiking Loop, and at Bush Pond-Mill Pond you can distinguish Cobble Knoll. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Bush Pond-Mill Pond. Bush Pond-Mill Pond is not the only spot close by, Mill Pond is a close by lake, and Prospect Bay Country Club is a golf course nearby. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Bush Pond Dam. You'll need more than a day to discover  
   everything Bush Pond-Mill Pond has to offer, you can camp at Half Moon State Park Campground. Summertime highs at Bush Pond-Mill Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Bush Pond-Mill Pond.

...Village Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Branbury State Park; nearby you hit upon the Silver Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Camping in Vermont is such a fun thing to do. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back persistently.

Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Fern Lake which is small and pristine.
At this campground you will always have a delightful time. Getting to Neshobe River from Country Village Campground is simple, and Middlebury River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.

Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.

White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak....

Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go. I am enclosing a picture i took on June 19th 2007....
