If you are traveling by, why not stop by Burr Pond. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You can run the rapids of Mill River close to Burr Pond; camping at Iroquios Land Family is always a great experience. The warmest time of the year at Burr Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. During the winter the highs are generally in the 20's; winter nights come with lows

What would winter be without some skiing at Killington, and the peak of Bald Peak can be observed from Burr Pond. This lake is so wonderful. to do that, and close by you come across the Canty Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining things to do in the Green Mountains. If you came to camp Hapgood Pond - Green Mountain
National Forest is a great spot to do that. Lakes? Sure, Chittenden Reservoir is in close proximity. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Green Mountains. While you're here at Burr Pond you will meet
lots of folks from nearby Rutland, and Proctor-Pittsford Country Club is a great golf course nearby. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Burr Pond. Best Western Inn & Suites Rutland/Killington is a delightful
place to get some rest, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Rutland City Reservoir. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Clarendon River, and the New Boston Trail is a good hiking
trail nearby. The amount of precipitation that falls at Burr Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is August; February is the month with the least moisture.
