     Bruce Pond gets a normal amount of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here; February on the other hand is the driest. Go for a hike on the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail; a great nearby hotel is Fairbanks Inn. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Green Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Barton River offers some perfect whitewater, and Injun Joe Court is a brilliant campground nearby.

   beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Green Mountains. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Lyndon Outing Club, and don't leave Bruce Pond without first going for a hike along the South Shore Hiking Trail. Head up to Burke Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and great hiking is available along the Mount Pisgah Trail. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are beyond doubt plentiful  
               here at Bruce Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Joe's Brook River, and Bruce Pond is not the only location close by, Runaway Pond is a close by lake.
At Bruce Pond during the long summer days highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's while Bruce Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Belview Campground is a fine location to camp. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a delightful choice, and a lake close by is Clarks Pond.

I am suprised that I am being ask to be the first person to give input on this beautiful lake that spans northern VT into Canada. It is a lake that talks to you, as far as my opinion goes. I lived in Newport,Newport Center (Bear Mountain) and Noth Troy when I was bewtween the ages of 9-13. I am now 42!

I just recently went back to Newport and that beautiful lake that talked to me, and i think it helped me figure out a part of my life that has been a little bit difficult to understand and move ahead. I Do have somr pictures in some old photo albumd, and I will make an effort to submit,
