    Breese Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Throughout the warm months at Breese Pond temperatures are usually in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while Breese Pond night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Not far from Breese Pond you obtain some glorious water scenery at Austin Pond Dam; camping at Half Moon State Park Campground  
   is always a glorious experience. If the weather is great here at Breese Pond, you can go for a hike along the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Rutland here.
This lake is so wonderful. What would a place like Breese Pond be without exciting nearby characteristics like Barber Ledge, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Roach Pond. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Breese Pond is
 
               so good! The Glen Lake Trail is a brilliant hiking trail near Breese Pond, and camping is available at Big D Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps can be such exciting locations, explore Beaver Meadow while you're here at Breese Pond; Prospect Bay Country Club is a golf course close by.
Get covered with water paddling on Poultney River. Lakes? Sure, High Pond is nearby. After a long day outdoors The Middlebury Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two. Breese Pond gets a normal amount of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
On a great day at Breese Pond you can take a hike along the Half Moon Pond Trail, and Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury is a splendid place to get some rest.

...und, and it's one of those places where everything is close.

If only every location had this much outdoor entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. A tremendous place like Half Moon Pond State Park is near Country Village Campground and is too wonderful to leave out, and going for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warm days of summer at Country Village Campground highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's. When the weather is good here at Country Village Campground, you can go for a hike along the Chandler Ridge Trail, and the friendly people of Brandon like to hang out nearby. The Duval Trail is a delightful hiking trail next to Country Village Campground, and a day on Pico Mountain is just what you need.

This campground is a stunning spot to go to. An average amount of precipitation falls at Country Village Campground; most of the rain falls throughout August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. ...

White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak....

Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go. I am enclosing a picture i took on June 19th 2007....
