A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Lake Bomoseen; through August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Good hiking is available along the Half Moon Pond Trail; dry warm beds await you at Highlander Motel. Lake Bomoseen is not the only site nearby, Pine Pond is a nearby lake; there's a delightful forest called Castleton Municipal Forest. Not enough hours       in a day to enjoy this place. Lake Bomoseen Camp Ground is a fine local campground. A wonderful sight of lovely Cedar Mountain is available from Lake Bomoseen; great water scenery is available at Loves Marsh Dam next to Lake Bomoseen. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lake Bomoseen without first going for a hike along the Glen Lake Trail, and some of the water close by flows, like Sucker Brook. Lake Bomoseen is a brilliant place to visit for more than                  one day, Bomoseen State Park Campground is a brilliant place to camp nearby, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Rutland. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Lake Bomoseen. If you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Rutland is a glorious choice, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Prospect Bay Country Club. Cedar Point is relatively next to Lake Bomoseen, and a lake close by is Loves Marsh. Throughout the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Lake Bomoseen. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lake Bomoseen sink into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
