If you are in Caledonia county it's always a good idea to stop by Blake Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Pisgah Trail, and if you need a place to stay Green Acres Cabins & Shop is a magnificent choice. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area next to Blake Pond has to offer. If you came for an overnight stay Will-o-wood Campground is a good site to camp; Mount Hor is clearly visible from

You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Green Mountains. Really good skiing awaits you at Lyndon Outing Club, and a great nearby hotel is Lynburke Motel. That right there is plenty of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. Camping is available at White Caps Campground; if you come at the right time of year, Clyde River offers some good whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. | |

There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Barton River. Lakes are brilliant; Bean Pond is a lake that's near Blake Pond.
From a rain point of view Blake Pond is a quite typical site; August is the wettest month with most
rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Take a little spree to Big Valley Brook since you're here at Blake Pond, and the South Shore Hiking Trail offers hiking at its best. At Blake Pond during the months of summer highs
are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Blake Pond tend to be
in the 0's.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Burke Mountain; there's great hiking along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail.
