     If you need a spot to stay Fairbanks Inn is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Burke Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; going for a hike on the Mount Pisgah Trail is always a magnificent adventure. All through the warm months here at Blake Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter  
   nights at Blake Pond are in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Ferguson Hill is simple to spot from Blake Pond, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Mud Pond. Blake Pond in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Blake Pond called the South Shore Hiking Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Joe's Brook River. So much entertaining stuff to do
 
               in the Green Mountains, not sufficient time. The Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail is a great hiking trail near Blake Pond, and drift down the rapids of Barton River in a kayak.
This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Motel and Annex, and if you came for an overnight stay White Caps Campground is a fine site to camp. This site, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things. Chamberlain Brook is in close proximity to Blake Pond and is always a bliss to explore; why not camp at Belview Campground if you're here at Blake Pond.
Blake Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Lyndon Outing Club. Lakes are great; Duck Pond is a lake that's near Blake Pond.

I am suprised that I am being ask to be the first person to give input on this beautiful lake that spans northern VT into Canada. It is a lake that talks to you, as far as my opinion goes. I lived in Newport,Newport Center (Bear Mountain) and Noth Troy when I was bewtween the ages of 9-13. I am now 42!

I just recently went back to Newport and that beautiful lake that talked to me, and i think it helped me figure out a part of my life that has been a little bit difficult to understand and move ahead. I Do have somr pictures in some old photo albumd, and I will make an effort to submit,
