In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Barton River, and there's pleasant hiking along the Mount Pisgah Trail. Summertime highs at Blake Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is commonly the driest month.
Holiday Motel and Annex is a good place to get some rest; you can go for a hike on the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail. But
wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Blake Pond. If you came for an overnight stay White Caps Campground is a good place to camp; stunning scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Burke Mountain. From Blake Pond you
acquire a great sight of Ferguson Hill, and hey, Chamberlain Brook is a fine local stream.
