    Black Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Summertime highs at Black Pond commonly tend to be in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Black Pond. Have a great hiking adventure along the Half Moon Pond Trail, and if you've had enough of Black Pond, Breese Pond is close by. During your spree to Black Pond you'll meet some people from  
   Rutland for sure, and Said Dam is a pretty location, without doubt worth a visit.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Lake Bomoseen Inn is a great place to get some rest, and Poultney River is a good whitewater spot close by. If you need a location to stay Edgewater Motel is a nice choice, and since you're here and you like golf, you can visit Prospect Bay Country
 
               Club.
This lake is so wonderful. Swamps are exciting places and Beaver Meadow near Black Pond is no exception. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Black Pond has to offer, you can camp at Bomoseen State Park Campground. Going for a hike along the Glen Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and you can stay the night at Half Moon State Park Campground. An average amount of precipitation falls at Black Pond; August is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture.
