Billings Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Billings Pond really is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Take a hike on the Kelly Camp Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Deerfield River - East Branch offers some tremendous whitewater. This lake is so wonderful.       There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Deerfield River, and don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to Little Pond Brook. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Adams Reservoir Dam, and needless to say, this is a delightful vicinity for folks who like lakes, Red Mill Pond is a lake close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Snow is close to Billings Pond, and camping at Red Mill Brook                  Campground is always a fine experience. Mt Snow Grand Summit Resort is a good location to get some rest, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Molly Stark Trail. Camping is available at Holysmoke Camps, and after a long day outdoors The Porches Inn at MASS MoCA is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. What a place this is for outdoors people. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Mill Pond; during your journey here you'll meet some people from Bennington for sure. Summertime highs at Billings Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, mostly in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Billings Pond temperatures sink to the 0's.
