    Do stop by Big Mud Pond while you're in this part of Vermont. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Green Mountains. At Big Mud Pond you always meet someone from Rutland; delightful skiing awaits you at Bromley. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Green Mountains is excellent! In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Branch, and camping at Campground  
   A is always a tremendous experience. Big Mud Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
For the duration of the months of summer here at Big Mud Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's; overnight lows all
 
               through the wintertime for Big Mud Pond tend to be in the 0's. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Long Hole, and a good vista of pretty Buckball Peak is available. Go for a hike on the Old Job Trail, and Snow Valley has great slopes and a friendly staff.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area near Big Mud Pond has to offer. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Mill River, and swamps like Elbow Swamp in the vicinity of Big Mud Pond make for good sites to visit. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Green Mountains has to offer. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains.
A pleasant trip to Swale Meadow is a glorious way to spend an afternoon, and camping is available at Otter Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Big Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Staples Trail, and if you need a location to stay Red Roof Inn Rutland - Killington is a perfect choice. And that's not all you can do here at Big Mud Pond. Good hiking is available along the Jones Brook Trail; why not take a little trip to Three Shanties Brook since you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Inns at the Equinox is a delightful spot to spend a night or two; unsurprisingly, this is a splendid vicinity for folks who like lakes, Little Mud Pond is a lake nearby.
