    Many people like to go to Beebe Pond. A fine site for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Beebe Pond is Otter Creek, and camping is available at Half Moon State Park Campground. You're probably into lakes, Echo Lake is one of those nearby, and the Half Moon Pond Trail is a great hiking trail close

Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. There is a perfect hiking trail near Beebe Pond called the Bomoseen Hiking Loop; Barber Ledge is an out of the ordinary place to pop by while at Beebe Pond. A pleasant site to camp here at Beebe Pond is Big D Campground, and at Beebe Pond you can spot Eagle Rock. Throughout the warm months highs here at Beebe Pond reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime
 
               are commonly in the 20's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Beebe Pond tend to be in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Prospect Bay Country Club is always a joy; you'll in all probability meet some folks from Rutland here. If you need a spot to stay The Middlebury Inn is a fine choice, and Austin Pond Dam is a striking place. Man, is there lots of fun stuff to do in the vicinity of Beebe Pond. If you're here, you might as well take a look at Hubbardton Gulf; dry warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury.
Take a little visit to Giddings Brook since you're here at Beebe Pond, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial. This lake is so wonderful. Poultney River is a splendid whitewater spot in the vicinity of Beebe Pond; of course, this is a nice area for people who like lakes, Austin Pond is a lake in the neighborhood.

...s all the way up to the largest of campers. The bath house is clean and spacious with hot showers, and it is located right in the middle of the campground for easy access to all sites.
A trip to Country Village Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Branbury State Park; nearby you hit upon the Silver Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Camping in Vermont is such a fun thing to do. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nice variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back persistently.

Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Fern Lake which is small and pristine.
At this campground you will always have a delightful time. Getting to Neshobe River from Country Village Campground is simple, and Middlebury River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.

Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.

White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak....

Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go. I am enclosing a picture i took on June 19th 2007....

South of Rutland rt 7 south to rt 140 east. Entrance is not easily seen. A up hill right off 140 then a quick left up hill, and a quick right again. Just a little sign. Before the right turn on 140 you will see white rocks used as drainage. the turn is shortly there after. Rocky road. Hope this helps....

Been to Chittenden Brook Campgound for the last 15 years now...Best place I have ever camped anywhere in New England...Great babbling brook, thick woods..and not many camp sites!! This is true rustic camping...the only things offered at the campground is an outhouse and a brook for bathing..(coldest water I've ever been in).. wonderful hiking trails... beautiful beaver pond.... and generally some wonderful people around to sit around a fire with!!...
