If you are in Rutland county it's always a good idea to stop by Beebe Pond. Giddings Brook flows through this neighborhood; going for a hike on the Half Moon Pond Trail is always a nice adventure. Through the warm months at Beebe Pond temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, usually in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Beebe Pond. This lake is so wonderful.

This lake is so wonderful. Otter Creek has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby; you can go for a hike on the Bomoseen Hiking Loop. Not far from Beebe Pond you get some magnificent water scenery at Austin Pond Dam, and no need to travel far to go to attention-grabbing stuff like Barber Ledge. You're sure to run into some smiling folks from Rutland here, and the top of Eagle Rock is easily observed
from Beebe Pond. So many amusing things in close proximity to Beebe Pond, absolutely astonishing. You could also take a look at Lake Hortonia since you're here at Beebe Pond; it's close by, and Beebe Pond is great enough to spend
more than a day at, Big D Campground is a great local campground. Hubbardton Gulf is a pleasant spot to have a look at nearby; there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial.
