A charming lake like Duck Pond in close proximity to Beaver Pond is a brilliant place to visit, and whitewater paddling is good on Clyde River. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Nulhegan River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Beaver Pond; Mount Pisgah East Trail is a perfect local trail. It is a lake that talks to you, as far as my opinion goes. I lived in Newport,Newport Center (Bear Mountain) and Noth Troy when I was bewtween the ages of 9-13. I am now 42!
I just recently went back to Newport and that beautiful lake that talked to me, and i think it helped me figure out a part of my life that has been a little bit difficult to understand and move ahead.
