Cold Hill is a peak you can catch a sight of from Bean Pond, and Lyndon Outing Club is a nice local ski area. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Bean Pond is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, White Caps Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby, and a round of golf at nearby Kirby Country Club is a good way to kill some time. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are in fact plentiful here

Hawkes Hiking Trail, and of course Mathewson Brook flows through this area. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. Near Bean Pond you hit upon the Mount Pisgah Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and do visit Chandler
Pond, it's a charming lake. Institute Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and whitewater paddling is good on Moose River. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Motel and Annex; the slopes
of Burke Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. Bean Pond gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; most of the rain falls during August, and the driest month is February. So many fun things near Bean Pond, absolutely amazing.
Sugar Ridge RV Village & Camp is a pleasant campground nearby, and if you need a location to stay Fairbanks Inn is a good choice.
